As founder and managing partner of KOMAND Consulting, Nasos brings over 15 years of international experience in the area of strategy consulting. He has worked on multiple mandates focusing on strategic planning, balanced scorecard development, business planning, business case development, financial modelling and organizational design. Industries Nasos has worked in include consumer goods, manufacturing, software, high-tech, automotive, aerospace, healthcare, scientific research, and professional services both in the private and public sectors.
As one example of a recent mandate, Nasos help devise a new business strategy and accompanying balanced scorecard for a leader in the food and beverage manufacturing industry, which resulted to new market growth and increased operational efficiencies.
Prior to starting KOMAND Consulting, Nasos was one of the select technical consultants at The MathWorks Inc., a leading scientific and engineering software company with over 3,000 employees worldwide, based near Boston, Massachusetts. During that time, he was responsible for planning, managing, and delivering custom application projects for Fortune 500 companies, including DaimlerChrysler, Honeywell and Caterpillar.
After moving to Montréal to complete his MBA, Nasos became the Managing Consultant of the Small Business Consulting Bureau, an organization comprised of multiple business consultants and analysts that assist small-to-medium sized enterprises with sales, marketing, financial, operational, business and strategic planning. During this time Nasos assisted business owners in the healthcare, high-technology software, e-commerce and retail industries.
Nasos holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University and an MBA from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University. During his MBA, Nasos served as the MBA Society President, was a winner of the 2006 Annual JMSB International Case Competition and played for the Concordia University Varsity Soccer Team.
Nasos is a member of the board of directors of the Grace Dart Extended Care Centre Foundation and the chair of the governance committee. He is also a lecturer in management at Concordia University, where he teaches entrepreneurship and corporate strategy courses to undergraduate and MBA students. As an executive mentor at FounderFuel and Dobson Foundation accelerators, Nasos has also assisted dozens of entrepreneurs with their start-up companies in sectors such as medical device technologies, SaaS, 3D printing and more.
